GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Blackhawk Technology Company – the industry’s pumping innovation leader for applications from landfill leachate to remediation/recovery to biofuel sump – debuts the Apollo-AC HD Electric Piston Pump™, a grid-powered AC electric that pairs heavy-duty, low-flow stamina with lower-cost, linear-rod simplicity.
Designed for deep-well sites not requiring the performance metrics of Blackhawk’s popular Anchor Electric models, the Apollo-AC HD will pump virtually any flowable product regardless of chemical composition or viscosity to depths of 600 feet (183 meters) or flows to 3.0 gpm (11.4 lpm), depending upon model.
All pumps in the Apollo-AC lineup offer the convenience and consistency of 24/7 grid power with lower prices and lower amp draws than comparable electric models. The Scotch-yoke linear-rod driver joins with positive-displacement piston-rod micro technology to allow pumping to well or sump bottom and dry-running without harm, regardless of vacuum.
Drive actuators and power are mounted above the well or sump for easy installation and faster, cleaner, safer and less-frequent servicing. Apollos pump to 200°F (93°C) – or higher with special component – and are easily customized to sit requirements.
