An outdoor machinery setup is placed on a dirt patch, surrounded by various pipes and cables. The machinery, featuring a large circular component and a top-head drive pump, appears to be related to drilling or irrigation. It is situated in a grassy area with trees and a cloudy sky in the background.

A large metal pipe with an attached motorized top-head drive pump is partially buried in dirt and gravel outdoors. The pipe is connected to several smaller black pipes. Dry grass and a dirt embankment are visible in the background.

Directional Wells

Blackhawk reciprocating piston pump systems with above-grade drivers — pneumatic or electric — pump at any angle from vertical to horizontal, all at full performance levels.

These positive-displacement pumps employ a flexible drive rod within an HDPE discharge pipe, allowing downhole components to be inserted into spaces that are not plumb or straight. Other pump designs, including electric submersibles and airlift pumps, are not built for these conditions.
