SELECTING THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT

To meet those requirements, the site implemented a Blackhawk top-head drive positive displacement piston pump system featuring a 101-piston pump with V2, Apollo, and Anchor top-head drive components. This approach was selected specifically for its ability to provide controlled, low-flow pumping while accommodating the unique demands of horizontal well pumping.

Power availability was another important consideration. With no utility power available at the wellhead, the pump operates using solar power. This approach allows pumping to continue, helping maintain a predictable operating schedule even when sunlight is limited.

Serviceability also played a key role in the overall design. Positioning the drive motor above the well allows maintenance to be completed without opening the well head, reducing service time and minimizing interruptions to daily operation.

Remote telemetry is available to give operators the ability to monitor pump performance without frequent site visits.
